My first real attempt at Substance Designer!

I had played around with the program before but this time I really tried to understand the process of creating a material with just the tools and generators included. I thought it would be fun to make something with movement, so I chose oozing lava. I created a sample piece of geometry and animated the UVs to simulate it oozing, which was really satisfying to see. I had a lot of fun with this and am excited to continue learning the program!

The material maps were all procedurally created in Substance Designer, with some final texture tweaks done in Photoshop. Lit in Marmoset.

The programs used to create this project:

Autodesk Maya, Substance Designer, Photoshop, and Marmoset Toolbag.

No Generative AI was used in the making of this project.

Thanks for reading! :)
